Eddie Hall Opens Up on the Cost of Turning Down a Bout with Francis Ngannou

Eddie Hall has disclosed the amount of prize money he would demand to face Francis Ngannou in a fight. The former “World’s Strongest Man” made a stunning MMA debut in April, knocking out fellow strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski in just 30 seconds at KSW 105. Following this victory, Hall, nicknamed “The Beast,” gave a mature response regarding a potential bout with Ngannou.

Initially, Hall expressed reluctance to fight Ngannou, stating he’d “rather be beaten by the devil” than face him. However, he later reversed this stance, saying he would take on the former UFC heavyweight champion if the financial terms were right. Hall revealed to Rob Moore that he would demand millions, roughly £5 million, for the fight. He explained his strategy wouldn’t be about exchanging punches but rather going all out to overpower Ngannou, describing the approach as a “bulldozer job” since Ngannou is highly skilled and tactical.

As for Hall’s future fights, a match with Ngannou appears unlikely in 2026, with Hall now setting his sights on less formidable opponents. He mentioned ongoing talks to fight world-renowned jiu-jitsu fighter Dillon Danis, highlighting Danis’s significant achievements and polarizing personality. Hall expressed optimism about signing contracts and moving forward with the fight.

Fan Take: This news is exciting for fight fans because a potential Hall vs. Ngannou match could bring an electrifying clash between two giants from different combat backgrounds, pushing MMA’s popularity even higher. Additionally, Hall’s progression into MMA and desire to take on top names shows the sport’s expanding appeal and the thrill of cross-discipline battles.
