  • Ethan Nwaneri likely to stay at Arsenal
  • Sad farewell to Bournemouth and Antoine Semenyo

Arsenal reportedly face further transfer interest for Ethan Nwaneri, with Bournemouth joining Chelsea as suitors for the young midfielder.

Nwaneri is not currently on the verge of leaving Arsenal, but his lack of regular minutes at the Emirates Stadium this season has led to some clubs being keen to sign the 18-year-old.

We recently reported that Chelsea are interested in Nwaneri after first eyeing him in the summer, but The Independent has now named Bournemouth as another option.

This is because the Cherries are set to lose Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City and are looking to rebuild their attacking options.

Nwaneri appears to be in no rush to leave Arsenal for more playing time just yet, with The Independent suggesting a deal is likely to be completed in the summer.

Interestingly, however, the England Under-21 international would like to move abroad if possible, with Borussia Dortmund also said to have had their eye on him in the past.

Arsenal certainly won’t want to sell Nwaneri, but if he doesn’t get regular minutes, loaning him could be a good option.

Being part of a team with title-winning potential could be a great experience for Nwaneri, but he would also benefit greatly from more first-team football.

Chelsea could actually be a good move for him, with a project built around young players, but it’s hard to imagine Arsenal ready to let him go to a rival.

Sad farewell to Bournemouth and Antoine Semenyo

Nwaneri could be the ideal replacement for Semenyo, who finished on a high for Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

The Ghanaian international scored a brilliant late goal as coach Andoni Iraola’s side defeated Tottenham 3-2.

It was an eventful game, but Semenyo’s late quality made the difference and reminded Bournemouth of how difficult it will be to replace him.

Nwaneri is a classy attacking midfielder, but there are very few players currently in Semenyo’s league. The 26-year-old is in great form, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists in 20 games in the top flight.
