AS Roma goalkeeper Miles Svilar is attracting attention from some of the Premier League’s top clubs, a source close to the agent industry has said. catch off side.

The 26-year-old Serbian international blossomed at AS Roma after joining on a free transfer in 2022 and is now being monitored by Chelsea and Manchester United.

With his contract running until 2030, Roma are under no pressure to sell, with early talks suggesting a valuation in the region of €60m, instantly making Svilar one of the most expensive keepers on the market.

The goalkeeper has appeared in 27 games for the Italian team this season.

Considered a promising but unstable talent during his time at Benfica, Svilar reinvented himself in Serie A.

Chelsea look for replacement after Sanchez’s failure

It’s clear that Chelsea are unhappy with Roberto Sanchez. The goalkeeper also made two high-profile errors in the recent EFL Cup semi-final against Arsenal, both of which led to goals for the Gunners.

Chelsea praise Svilar, but a €60 million deal in January is highly unlikely due to FFP restrictions and competing transfer priorities in midfield and attack.

A summer approach that would take more time to negotiate and distribute payments is a much more realistic scenario.

Man United are planning a major overhaul of their goalkeeping department this summer.

Expectations are growing that both Altay Bayundur and Andre Onana could leave the club permanently, with the latter in particular attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.

Although we signed Senne Lamence last summer, we are not completely satisfied with his performance this season.

United are looking for a long-term stable first-choice goalkeeper, someone who can compete at Champions League level for the next seven to eight years.

Svilar’s price could be a cause for concern

Mr. Sviler fits that description perfectly. However, United are prioritizing midfield and defensive reinforcements and his hefty €60m fee could complicate matters.

Rome knows they have a valuable asset. A sale worth nearly €60 million would be seen as extraordinary business, as Sviler was signed on a free basis.

The goalkeeper market is expected to explode in 2026, with several top clubs looking for a new number one player, and Roma believe they are in a good position in negotiations.
