On Wednesday, the New Jersey Devils announced the recall of defenseman Colton White from their AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets. White, who has contributed four assists, has appeared in over 23 games for the Devils this season.
At 28 years old, White originally joined the Devils after being picked 97th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Over six NHL seasons, he has played a total of 107 games—starting with New Jersey, then moving to the Anaheim Ducks as a free agent in July 2022, before making his return to New Jersey in July 2024. Throughout his NHL career, White has accumulated 14 points, all assists.
White spent his first four NHL campaigns with the Devils prior to signing with Anaheim on July 14, 2022. He rejoined New Jersey as a free agent on July 1, 2024. Having recently played against the Devils in Vancouver, White is set to get ready for Friday’s game against the Canucks.
