Scottie Scheffler will make his season debut as the favorite to win the 2026 PGA American Express Golf Tournament. The world’s top-ranked golfer is aiming for his 20th PGA tournament win since turning pro in 2018. Scheffler, 29, last won the Pro Core Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz., last September, beating fellow American Ben Griffin by one stroke. This year’s event begins Thursday at 11:30 a.m. ET at La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, California.

Scheffler, who starts paired with Justin Rose at 12:14 p.m. ET, is a +300 favorite (risk $100 to win $300) at FanDuel Sportsbook. Other favorites include Ben Griffin at +2000, Ludvig Aberg and Russell Henry at +2200. Sepp Straka repeats as the winner of this event at +4500. Before you pick American Express stocks for 2026, you should check out golf expert Brady Cannon’s American Express predictions and best bets for 2026.

Canon is elite golf gambling A disabled person with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He has eight outright major wins since 2013. In the fall of 2022, he had three straight weeks of outright winners: Russell Henry (40-1), Tony Finau (18-1) and Adam Svensson (150-1). Last season, he beat Hideki Matsuyama (22-1), Harris English (110-1), Ludvig Aberg (25-1) and Ben Griffin/Andrew Novak (25-1) in New Orleans last season.

American Express Experts’ Top 2026

One of Canon’s 2026 American Express predictions is that he completely obliterates Windham Clark, who goes 80-1. He avoids him in outright bets and advises against him in head-to-head bets as well.

“Clark did not play in Hawaii and missed his last regular tour start in early November,” Cannon said. “He finished 13th here at the Amex in 2022, but other than that he was no better than 39th and missed out on a spot here last season. He has lost strokes on both his tee shot and approach in his last five starts. Last season, Clark ranked 154th on Tour in Strokes Gained: Approach and 160th in Driving Accuracy. I’m also wondering what Clark’s feelings of frustration are with Brooks Koepka’s return to the AmEx.”The PGA Tour could still be a distraction as he makes his season debut, but he did find one head-to-head matchup with Clark as an underdog to JT Poston, and yes, he’ll be facing a fade player this week. ” See who Kanon supports on Sportsline.
