Bred by Shady Brook Farm and catalogued as Hip 402, If You Side So is by Florida Cajun Breeze and out of the Concerto mare Serra Dis Sideno. She is a full sibling to multiple stakes winner Cajun Casanova and the stakes-placed Full Disclosure.
This 3-year-old filly has competed four times, winning twice on both dirt and turf surfaces. Most recently, she was ridden to a time of 36.6 seconds over three furlongs at Gulfstream Park on January 29.
The second-highest price was paid for Hip 412, a colt by Independence Hall out of Everything Magic, who was purchased by Rising Sun Racing Stables for $40,000. This dark bay or brown colt, consigned by Jose Muñoz, is a half-brother to Herdish, a horse with multiple stakes placings.
The top-selling 2-year-old was Hip 403, a bay filly by OBS out of multiple Grade 1 winner Tiznow filly Tuff Tizsis. Sold for $22,000 to E-Class Racing, she was consigned by McCassan Brothers Sales and is a half-sister to graded stakes winner and producer Tiz Midnight.
By the close of business on January 30, the OBS Online January Sale had seen 14 horses sold, grossing a total of $297,400. The average price was $21,243 with a median of $13,000. Two horses did not meet their reserve prices.
