Carson Hocevar has committed to a long-term deal with Spire Motorsports that will keep him with the team well into the 2030s. At just 23 years old, Hocevar is set to race full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024 with Spire, aiming to elevate the team’s competitiveness and chase race wins. Though he has yet to secure a Cup Series victory, Hocevar has participated in 81 races, earning three top-five finishes and 15 top-10s, and made his Cup debut with Spire during the 2023 season.

Recently, Hocevar was involved in a crash at Bowman Gray, where he led 18 laps before being caught in a late-race incident. As the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year, he is focused on a long tenure with Spire, with a contract that ensures he will drive the No. 77 car for a minimum of five years.

Hocevar expressed his passion for racing and appreciation for the team, describing the Spire organization as a family and highlighting the significant growth since his rookie season in 2023. The contract also includes plans for him to compete in 13 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races this year.

Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson praised the contract extension, calling it a pivotal moment for the team and sponsors. He shared his personal connection with Hocevar, likening him to family and expressing pride in the driver’s development both on and off the track.

Fan Take: Carson Hocevar’s long-term commitment to Spire Motorsports is a strong signal that the team is investing in a bright future with young talent. For NASCAR fans, this means the emergence of new stars capable of challenging the established order, which keeps the sport exciting and evolving.
