Jake Paul has officially announced plans to continue his boxing career into 2026.

Some spectators speculated that the former YouTube star might hang up his gloves following his current 12-2 professional record.

In December, Paul endured a sixth-round knockout loss to ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, suffering a broken jaw in the process.

Yet just two months after that defeat, Paul and his team are already mapping out a comeback in the ring.

Jake Paul’s comeback timeline

Nakisa Bidalyan, Paul’s business partner and co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, shared details about when fans can expect Paul’s return.

According to Bidalyan, the fight will be scheduled for late 2026.

“He’s eager to come back,” Bidalyan told Sky Sports. “He’s asked me to begin arranging some fights.

“I think we’ll see him back between August and November next year.

“I would love to see him fight in England — that’s the goal.”

Jake Paul sets sights on Tommy Fury

Tommy Fury dealt Jake Paul his first boxing defeat three years ago.

Their February 2023 matchup ended with Fury, Tyson Fury’s younger brother, winning by a split decision.

Ideally, Paul hopes to get a rematch with Fury later this year.

“He wants to prove he can beat Tommy Fury,” said Bidalyan.

“Before Joshua, Paul’s only loss was to Fury.

“I’m hoping this fight happens because it would truly show how much Jake has progressed.

“I don’t think Fury has improved as significantly as Jake over the last three years, mainly because he hasn’t been as focused on boxing.

“I want that fight to take place… interest was massive online when Paul and Fury faced off in the UK — more so than any Tyson Fury fight in the past five years, and more than any Jake Paul fight except for his bout with Mike Tyson.

“If we can hold that fight in England or somewhere in Europe, the hype would be incredible.”

Fan Take: Jake Paul’s confirmed plans to return highlight the growing influence of crossover fighters in boxing, keeping the sport in the mainstream spotlight. A rematch with Tommy Fury could rejuvenate fan interest and potentially raise the bar for celebrity-driven boxing matches, blending entertainment with competitive action.
