The England international has recently established himself as one of the most talented young players in the Premier League and it seems it is only a matter of time before he makes the step up to a bigger club.
We previously reported that Chelsea are interested in signing Rodgers to improve their attacking quality, but could Spurs also be a team to watch in the race to sign him?
Former Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness certainly thinks so, telling Football Insider he thinks Tottenham will be more ambitious and proactive in the transfer market now that Daniel Levy is gone.
Tottenham back Morgan Rogers move
Wyness previously told Football Insider that Rodgers’ transfer fee could be in the region of £100m, but believes Spurs may be ready to put in a bit more effort.
The North London side have recently lost a golden generation of players, with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min among those who have left the club in recent years.
That means someone like Rodgers is desperately needed, and he has been named as one to watch at THFC this summer.
“I think they have to have a summer. I think this is something they really have to do. Spurs, I think the reason I think about the shift from Daniel Levy is because they feel they have to be more offensive,” Wyness said.
“We talked about Morgan Rodgers, those are the kinds of qualities we talk about that have to go at the moment for Spurs to really move forward.
“Spurs haven’t had a real quality player since the Harry Kane days. Spurs need to at least get one or two players of that quality.”

Morgan Rogers will be the man in demand.
Rodgers has been outstanding for Villa this season and it certainly won’t be easy to sign him this summer.
AVFC will know they can command big money for the 23-year-old and there will likely be a long line of top clubs looking to sign him.
Rodgers has 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions so far this season and could easily increase those numbers with better players around him.
However, there is no doubt that Chelsea are the more attractive option at the moment, as Tottenham will suffer a season closer to the relegation zone than challenge for a top-four spot.
