Goto has shown that he has the physical and technical attributes to suit English football and could be a very useful acquisition. He is a young player with great potential and with the right guidance he could develop into a star. The player could be available for between 15 million and 20 million euros, and it will be interesting to see whether Chelsea and Tottenham decide to pay. He has contributed to 16 goals this season.
Chelsea need more cutting-edge players in the final third. They need people who can be leaders for them and find the back of the net on a regular basis. The 20-year-old Japanese attacker may be the ideal player.
Similarly, Tottenham need more quality in the final third. They have regularly struggled to find the back of the goal and will need to see if the 20-year-old can solve that problem.
The asking price is extremely nominal for a player of his potential, and this contract could prove to be a great bargain down the road. It remains to be seen where he will end up. Both Premier League clubs have the financial power to make a deal happen.
