The 28-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace, steps into a leadership role following the high-profile departures of Ebelesi Eze and Marc Gehi.

Dean Henderson’s stance on leaving Crystal Palace as ties with Tottenham grow
Speaking on Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke said that while Henderson would be ideal for a move into the top tier, luring him away from Selhurst Park would not be easy.
O’Rourke added that Henderson “doesn’t plan on leaving the club any time soon” but his quality is undeniable.
“It will take a considerable amount of time, there is no doubt about that. Dean Henderson is vital to the upcoming palace project.
“He has taken over the captaincy since Marc Gehi left and has embraced the role very much.
“He obviously seems happy at the club, you can see it in the way he celebrates wins and other things he does. He seems to be enjoying life at Crystal Palace.”
“He has a good relationship with the local supporters, so I don’t think he will be leaving the club anytime soon.
“Dean Henderson is definitely a player who could come into Tottenham and make an impact if they were interested.
“But from Palace’s point of view, I don’t think they’ll let him go easily. So even if Tottenham were to plan a move for Henderson, it wouldn’t be easy.”
Guglielmo Vicario’s future at the club is uncertain

The connection with Henderson comes at a tumultuous time for current Spurs number one Guglielmo Vicario.
The Italian has come under intense scrutiny following Tottenham’s dismal 10-game winless run in the Premier League, which leaves them four points clear of the relegation zone.
Reports suggest club leaders are open to selling Vicario this summer, with the goalkeeper himself reportedly keen on a return to Italy amid growing interest from Inter Milan and Juventus.
According to recent reports, Juventus have even held talks with Vicario’s camp about a summer move.
