Yankees’ Jazz Chisholm surprises himself with hole-in-one on 328-yard par 4

The New York Yankees had a day off during spring training on Monday, and second baseman Jazz Chisholm made the most of his free time by hitting the golf course and accomplishing one of the rarest feats in sports.

Chisholm posted a video of himself racing down the fairway in a golf cart, explaining how he aced the 328-yard par-4. Running to the hole, someone in the adjacent backyard confirmed that his tee shot went in, and Chisholm excitedly celebrated a “double eagle.”

There’s always a bit of skepticism with any viral moment on social media. But given that Chisholm’s video begins when he’s still in a golf cart (not at the teeing ground before the shot), an excited exchange with a playing partner, and a random confrontation with an unknown bystander, this one certainly seems authentic.

The most impressive part of this may be that Chisholm hit the ball 328 yards off the tee. This is a practice ball, not a golf ball designed to maximize distance, so hitting it this far shows how much power he can generate.

On the baseball field, that power manifested itself a year ago in the form of 31 home runs for the Yankees, but the extremely rare ace on the par 4 may surpass anything Chisholm accomplished on the diamond in terms of impressive athletic feats.
