Manchester City could already agree a transfer deal with Nottingham Forest midfielder and Manchester United target Elliott Anderson, it has been reported.
The England international has been in great form this season and showed his quality once again this week with a stunning equalizer in the 2-2 draw against Man City at the Etihad Stadium.
This could give City fans a glimpse of what they can expect next season, as Andersson looks all but ready to join Josep Guardiola’s side.

Elliott Anderson and Manchester City described as a ‘done deal’
This is according to the latest claims from Graham Bailey, who spoke to TEAMtalk. “To be honest, in recent weeks we have heard from a number of sources that a deal has been completed for Anderson and City.
“City have been recruiting Anderson for months since last year. I heard that coach Hugo Viana selected him as his desired player last summer.”
“In the world of football, there is a consensus that Anderson only goes to one place and that is City.
“City and Forest haven’t confirmed anything, nothing has been signed, but I think Anderson knows where he’s going to play next season and it will be at the Etihad.”
The paper adds that Forest want £90m for Anderson, which could be how much City would pay for the 23-year-old.
Will Elliot Anderson choose Manchester City over Manchester United?
Another report from talkSPORT has provided the latest information regarding Anderson, but it cannot be said that a deal has been reached for him to move to City.
Their argument is that Anderson appears to be leaning towards a move to City over Man United, although we previously reported that City are the frontrunners for the deal.
It probably makes sense for MCFC to make Anderson an immediate priority. He looks like he could serve as a long-term replacement for Rodri, who has been plagued by injuries recently, and he also turns 30 this summer.
This is an ideal deal, as Andersson is very similar to the next Rodri, and the 23-year-old still has his best years ahead of him.
However, United could certainly do well with Anderson, with Casemiro set to leave as a free agent this summer, and the club also need an upgrade from Manuel Ugarte, who fell out of favor after a disappointing performance at Old Trafford.
