Tottenham Hotspur have decided to start Antonin Kinski in tonight’s UEFA Champions League first round match against Atletico Madrid.
It has been a disastrous season for Tottenham, and things got even worse after they conceded three goals in the first 15 minutes of a game against the La Liga side. The decision to start Kinski looked like a big mistake, but manager Igor Tudor replaced him after just 16 minutes and replaced him with Guglielmo Vicario.
Kinski was linked with a move from Tottenham in January.

Antonin Kinski shouldn’t have started
Kinski clearly lacked confidence and should not have been given the start here. The manager’s decision is likely to be humiliating for the goalkeeper and his confidence will further decline.
The young goalkeeper has joined Tottenham, managed by Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham were trailing 4-1 at half-time, with Pedro Polo scoring the winning goal in the first half. It will be interesting to see if they can turn things around in the second half and regain some pride.
However, the tie is already beyond them and they will need a special performance to qualify for the next tournament.
Tottenham are in a precarious situation
Tottenham are currently fighting to remain in the Premier League. They have performed well in European competitions, but their first-half performance against Atletico Madrid was disastrous.
Winning the UEFA Champions League could have given them a much-needed confidence boost. However, they will need a strong performance in the second half to stay level in the second leg.
Meanwhile, Vicario has also been heavily criticized for his inconsistent performances this season. The Italian player is also rumored to be on the move from the club. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to replace him in the summer and introduce an upgrade.
