  • Aston Villa sends officials to Haji Moussa’s race

Aston Villa have sent officials to join Arsenal in the race for the attacking star after receiving rave reviews from scouts.

Emery: Aston Villa in ‘worst’ moment

With nine Premier League games remaining, Aston Villa’s form is certainly a cause for concern. The Villans have not won in their last four games and were brutally beaten by Chelsea in their last match.

However, a change in competition and a matchup against Lille may provide the foundation needed to get back on track. If there’s anyone who knows how to run the Europa League, it’s Unai Emery, and he will be well aware of how important Thursday’s first leg is.

The Spaniard recently gave his opinion on Villa’s form, telling reporters: “There is still time to rebuild our structures as strongly as possible and feel confident in them individually and collectively.

“We have to compete in the Premier League and the Europa League. We are in a bad moment, a bad moment. We have to respond by working hard so we can regain our confidence.”

“If we can’t recover from that, then we’re probably not achieving our objectives. This worst moment means we have to respond, and the only way I know is to find a solution and work harder.”

It’s easy to see why Emery took a positive approach. In four days, Villa have the chance to take advantage of the Europa League last 16 and move past Manchester United into third place with victory at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that Villa could welcome reinforcements this summer, given his links with Leandro Trossard and another talented attacker.

Aston Villa sends officials to Haji Moussa’s race

Aston Villa have sent officials to join the race to sign Anis Hadji Moussa ahead of the summer transfer window, Sports Boom reports. The Villains could also welcome an attacking star after receiving excellent reviews from the scouting department and choosing to match Arsenal.

It’s no surprise that the Feyenoord man is attracting a lot of interest heading into the summer. The 24-year-old Algerian is at his peak, scoring 11 goals and assisting a further six in all competitions.

Considering the recent struggles of Leon Bailey and Emi Buendia since their return, it’s safe to say that Hadji Moussa is an instant upgrade.

Hadji Moussa has only recently attracted Premier League interest after talent scout Jacek Kulig praised the winger’s form in 2024 as “excellent”.

He could have quite a decision to make, with Aston Villa and Arsenal currently in contention for his signature.
