Liam Rosenior’s future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt, with Chelsea searching the market for a potential replacement following the heavy defeat against Everton.

Blues are preparing to make a move for a new manager as Rosenia struggles

The Blues lost 3-0 to Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium over the weekend, leaving their chances of qualifying for the Champions League in jeopardy and manager Rory Jennings called for Rossenia’s sacking immediately after the third goal.

Mr. Jennings said: “It’s a disgrace, they’re a disgrace, an absolute disgrace. Everyone there is a disgrace to the badge. Liam Rosenior should be sacked now. Who are we… 77 minutes into the game, he should be sacked now. If he’s the manager, it’s a travesty…

“He’s proven to us that he’s not the right person for the job. I don’t want to make this personal, but people get annoyed when I call him ‘untalented’ or mediocre or that he doesn’t deserve the job.”

The decision to offer the job to the 41-year-old may have been a little dubious in the first place, given his lack of Premier League managerial experience having spent time at Hull City, Derby County and Strasbourg.

Rosenior is currently under pressure after losing seven of his opening 19 games since taking charge at Stamford Bridge, and it has been revealed that Bruco have already begun considering a replacement…

Chelsea eyeing replacement for ‘outstanding’ Rosenior

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Chelsea are currently preparing a surprise move for Como manager Cesc Fabregas, who has enjoyed a good run in Serie A, and could be brought in to replace Rosseniol at the end of the season.

Blueco are supporting the current manager for now, but Fabregas’ possession-based style of football has caught their attention, and having spent time at Stamford Bridge as a player, there is a sense that he understands the Blues’ club culture.

However, with Manchester City also eyeing him as a potential replacement for Pep Guardiola, there could be competition for the Spaniard.

The 38-year-old, who has made 198 appearances for Chelsea, has done an excellent job at Como as the Italian side aim to win their last five Serie A games and qualify for the Champions League.

John Terry has great respect for his former teammate, saying: “I think he has one of the best football minds I’ve ever seen. The way he understands football and it’s no coincidence that he’s doing so well at Como.

“I think he’s going to be a top manager at the top level and one day he’ll be managing Chelsea or Arsenal at the top level.”

AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri also praised the former Chelsea midfielder earlier this season, calling him “fantastic”.

However, like Rossenyol, Fabregas, who prefers to implement a 4-2-3-1 system, is still inexperienced as a manager, so this could be a risky appointment for Chelsea.
