The Argentina international faces an uncertain future ahead of this summer, with transfer rumors currently mounting with interest from the Saudi Professional League.
According to Fiharges, Al Ittihad manager may be willing to pay up to €200m to persuade Chelsea to sell Fernandes this summer.
However, it remains to be seen whether Fernandes is ready for such a move, with the report also mentioning interest from Paris Saint-Germain, who could offer the former Benfica player not only a chance to continue playing at a high level in Europe, but also possibly a big fee.
Enzo Fernandes’ future: What we know so far
Fernandes has not ruled out leaving Chelsea, but his form at Stamford Bridge will certainly be a cause for concern for some Blues fans.
Simon Phillips has named Fernandes as one of the CFC players in talks with his agent over a move ahead of the summer.
However, Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior dismissed the speculation. You can read his full quote here.
Chelsea looking for replacement for Enzo Fernandes
Our understanding is that Chelsea are open to the possibility of needing a replacement for Fernandes for some time.
One name the Blues are keen on is Nottingham Forest’s Elliott Anderson, but there are suggestions that the two Manchester clubs are already further ahead in their pursuit.
Other names will certainly come up, but Chelsea are unlikely to let Fernandes go without having a player ready to fill the void.
The 25-year-old was one of the players who signed a major statement from the current club ownership, so it will take a huge amount of money to convince them to let him go.
