The relationship between Liverpool and Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has been described as interesting by German football transfer expert Christian Falk.

Falk said in the latest edition of his CF Bayern Insider column that doubts are growing about what will happen to Davies, with growing belief that Bayern could possibly listen to offers for the Canadian international.
Falk has not confirmed that he is aware of Liverpool’s interest in Davies, but he believes the 25-year-old could be available if any clubs are interested.
This comes after Falk also previously claimed Manchester United were interested in Davies, which could be a story worth monitoring in the coming weeks and months.
What Christian Falk said about Alphonso Davies
In another recent column, Falk said, “It’s true: Manchester United are interested in Alphonso Davies”, fueling speculation that Davies was a Man United target.
Discussing his links with Liverpool in this week’s column, the same reporter added: “This is a very interesting rumor suggesting that Alphonso Davies has been offered to Liverpool by an intermediary. It is true that with the Canadian player suffering another injury, there is a feeling within Bayern that if a big offer is made they will probably sell him.”
“He hasn’t done anything to dispel these rumors. He’s been silent about this situation. So I’m getting more and more suspicious about this!”
Do Liverpool need a new left-back?
Andrew Robertson’s contract with Liverpool expires this summer, but Milos Kerkes has not been entirely convincing during his time at Anfield so far.
That could mean there is room for a player like Davis, but is he really the right option given his recent injury record, dip in form and likely high transfer fee and wages?

Bayern teammate Joshua Kimmich previously described him as “unbelievable”, according to the Bundesliga site, and while Davies may still have the ability to revive his career, it looks like a risky deal for the Reds at the moment.
