Christian Cofane’s agent confirms talks with Arsenal
As reported by Florian Plettenberg, via Daily Talking Arsenal, Eric Depolo has confirmed that he has been in contact with Premier League leaders.
DePolo says:
“Yes, Arsenal’s interest is real. Mikel Arteta likes him very much. There are contacts between me and Arsenal. But their focus now is on winning the league. Then everything will start moving.”
Depolo went further and made bold claims about Kofane’s potential and price.
“He is a €100 million player. With the addition of Kofane, Arsenal will have a top striker for the next 10 years.”
Kofane’s impressive statistics in his youth
The hype surrounding Kofane is fueled by his clinical debut season in Germany.
The Douala-born striker has made 39 appearances in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists, despite only turning 19 last July.
His ability to lead the line with both physicality and technical grace was particularly evident in the round of 16 of the Champions League, where he is said to have left a strong impression on Arteta’s coaching staff.
Kofane, who has already won six caps for Cameroon, is attracting attention from top clubs including Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The interest from these elite clubs shows that Arsenal could sign a real talent if they can secure his signature.
