The Gunners are said to have long been fans of the 16-year-old, who can play as a winger or central attacking midfielder.

This is according to the Telegraph, who added that Arsenal are keeping an eye on Monga as he is regarded as one of the most exciting talents in the country and are interested in him.

News in recent months has suggested that Chelsea are also interested in Monga, but Arsenal could be in the race to sign him.

Jeremy Monga could be a smart signing for Arsenal’s future

The Telegraph reports that Arsenal are looking to step up their recruitment of young players, so it certainly makes sense that Monga is on their radar.

The teenager is the third-youngest player in Premier League history, behind Arsenal stars Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman, and has played alongside the latter England international at youth level.

Monga could well be linked with Dauman at the Emirates Stadium, but one imagines he could also be lured away by Chelsea with their current project focused on developing young talent.

Monga likely has plenty of options, and AFC fans can only hope that the club can get to the top here and seize great potential for the future.

Monga could be a great investment and even if he doesn’t become a first-team regular, it seems like a player the Gunners could certainly sell for a profit later on.
