Predictions for the 2026 Zurich Classic
One of the big surprises the model is looking for in the 2026 PGA Championship is that the Fitzpatrick brothers are not projected to win, despite their co-favorite status. Matt Fitzpatrick comes into this tournament in great shape after winning last week’s RBC Heritage and March’s Valspar Championship. This year, he placed 2nd at the Players Championship and 2nd at the Masters with T18. However, his younger brother Alex is in the field on a sponsor exemption and has a less impressive resume. Due to the alternating shot format over two rounds, the model predicts that this team is not optimal to win at +1200. See who else will be fading out here.
Another surprise is that the model predicts the team of Aaron Rai and Sahis Segala to do well. This will be the third consecutive year that both drivers have played together at the Zurich Classic, so the experience should pay off. Both have a wealth of PGA experience, with Seagala in particular enjoying strong results with four top-10 finishes on tour this season. Despite odds of +2200, the model predicts it to be a top three contender and has strong value as a best bet for the Zurich Classic. Find out who else to choose here.
