Liam Rosenior may be sacked as Chelsea manager today, it has been reported, following the team’s disastrous 3-0 loss to Brighton last night.
Life at Stamford Bridge got off to a nightmare start for Rosenior. The club are currently in serious danger of missing out on Champions League qualification, and were recently embarrassingly kicked out of the tournament by PSG.

According to Simon Phillips, Rosenior’s future is now in serious doubt and an official statement from the Blues could be made later today.
The Chelsea reporter added that the club’s players do not trust Rosenior and ridicule him and his methods.
Time is definitely up for Liam Rosenier
Chelsea, led by Rosenior, are currently on a five-game losing streak without scoring in the Premier League, their worst run since 1912.
These are clearly unacceptable numbers for a club of this size, even if the 41-year-old did not inherit the easiest situation at CFC.
Chelsea’s complete defeat has now seen them drop to seventh place, but with the teams directly below them each having one game in hand, they could fall further down the table.

Although Rosenior performed well at his former club Strasbourg, this kind of work seems to have come too early for him, and it is unlikely that his methods will have any positive impact on this group of players.
Could Chelsea make a move to sign Cesc Fabregas?
Phillips suggested Chelsea were already ready to sack Rosenior and sign Como manager Cesc Fabregas.
“But from what I’ve heard, I would be very surprised if Chelsea let him go today and there was no official statement that MacFarlane would lead the team for the foreseeable future, perhaps until the summer when they choose a new permanent manager,” Phillips wrote.
“If that happens, I know they will approach Cesc Fabregas, but I don’t know if he will come right away. At this stage, Marco Silva is also a name that I have heard early on, but if they decide to sack Rosenior, there will definitely be more names that come up.”
“So I can’t confirm if he’s been sacked yet, but I think he could be sacked today.”
