  • Bryson DeChambeau calls possible suspension from PGA Tour ‘very disappointing’
  • Bryson DeChambeau calls for no ego

Bryson DeChambeau’s future with LIV Golf is completely up in the air at this point.

It all happened after Saudi Arabia’s PIF announced it would withdraw its financial support from the league after the end of the 2026 season.

Athletes like DeChambeau and Jon Rahm were surprised to hear the news, having been told just a few months ago that PIF’s funding for LIV would continue until 2032.

Bryson DeChambeau left the PGA Tour to join LIV Golf in June 2022, but things didn’t work out the way he had hoped.

Despite LIV’s struggles, the 32-year-old is still winning majors since joining the league.

He is one of the biggest stars in the game, if not of It’s no exaggeration to say that the PGA Tour wants Bryson DeChambeau back on the circuit.

But is it really possible for such a thing to happen?

Bryson DeChambeau calls possible suspension from PGA Tour ‘very disappointing’

The two-time U.S. Open champion spoke to ESPN while practicing for this week’s LIV Golf Virginia.

With the future of LIV currently so uncertain, DeChambeau was asked about a possible return to the PGA Tour.

First, DeChambeau asserted that the PGA Tour is “not doing well right now,” and highlighted recent cost-cutting efforts as evidence of that.

And he spoke candidly about the possibility of playing on the PGA Tour again in the future.

“From my perspective, I want to grow my YouTube channel by 3x, maybe even more.“ The LIV golf star said:

“I would love to. We want to do a lot of dubbing in different languages and give the world more reasons to watch YouTube. And I want to play in tournaments that want me.“

““It would be very disappointing in my opinion, considering what they could do for them,” he said of the punishment he would face from the PGA Tour if he returned.“

So DeChambeau has set a very clear challenge to the PGA Tour with these statements.

But just minutes after he urged the PGA Tour to put aside its ego, his blatant cheating was exposed…

Bryson DeChambeau calls for no ego

LIV Golfer told ESPN that he wants everyone involved in the professional game to come into any kind of discussion with an “opportunistic mindset to grow the game of golf.”

“ego needs to be thrown away,“ DeChambeau said.

“In order to grow the game of golf, everyone needs to participate on a fair footing and with an opportunistic mindset. That’s why I came here. That’s why I do what I do on YouTube.“

It’s just incredible to me that DeChambeau wasn’t even aware of his blatant contradiction there.

He emphasized that the PGA Tour doesn’t understand what he can do, but in the next sentence he asks everyone to put their egos aside.

That’s really unusual, isn’t it?

Many golf fans believe DeChambeau is dishonest and inauthentic, as he has always claimed he wants to “grow the game of golf.”

And his recent contradictory comments do nothing to improve his image in that regard.
