Anthony Gordon offered contract by Bayern Munich
According to Florian Plettenberg (h/t The Mug), the German champions have offered the England international a five-year contract and it will be interesting to see if they can persuade him to join the club.
The player’s agent also met with Barcelona’s sporting director Deco. It remains to be seen what he will decide.
At 25 years old, he is at the peak of his career and now might be the best time for him to move on and join a bigger club where he can fight for big trophies.
Newcastle are still in a transition period and are likely to finish mid-table this season. It is unlikely that he will be able to challenge for a major title again next year. Gordon won’t want to waste his prime years and joining an elite club would be very attractive to him.

Where will Gordon end up?
Bayern Munich and Barcelona are both attractive destinations for the player, and it remains to be seen where he will end up. The 25-year-old can play not only on the wings but also in the center. His versatility will be a huge bonus for both clubs.
Bayern Munich need more depth in their attacking line and Gordon could be the ideal cover for Harry Kane, Michael Oliseh and Luis Diaz. He can play anywhere in the front three and would be a very beneficial acquisition for the club.
On the other hand, Barcelona will need even more quality in the future. They want to win the UEFA Champions League and need a stronger squad. Signing the versatile Newcastle attacker could be a wise move.
