Jose Mourinho is reportedly already considering where he would move to Real Madrid should he return to the Bernabéu as manager.
According to Athletic, the Benfica manager is in talks to return to Real Madrid for a second term and is no doubt keen to make some changes to his team.
It has been a difficult season for the Spanish giants, with their midfield being a particular concern.

According to Ficajes, Mourinho is therefore considering signing Real to Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandes, Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister or Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali.
Jose Mourinho wants to strengthen midfield control
Madrid have some excellent midfield players, but have struggled to adequately replace the quality of legendary duo Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
Even if Fernandes and Mac Allister aren’t quite at that level, their playing styles are probably more similar due to their ability to get on the ball and make play decisions.

Chelsea could also be open to selling Fernandes, making him a realistic target, so Los Blancos fans will no doubt be watching to see how this saga develops.
Could Alexis Mac Allister leave Liverpool?
Meanwhile, questions have been raised about Mac Allister’s future at Liverpool following comments from his father.
According to his father Carlos, the Argentina international has not yet held talks with other clubs, nor has he discussed signing a new contract with Liverpool.
The Reds lost Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid last summer, and while they may be reluctant to see a similar situation play out here, it’s certainly a possibility if a new deal hasn’t been agreed yet.
