Jacobo Ramon has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months.

The 21-year-old central defender has had a very good run with Italian club Como and is highly rated across Europe.

Sports Boom reports that Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing the player. However, Real Madrid have a buy-back clause (€8 million), which would complicate any potential move for the Premier League club. It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will sign him in the summer.

Como are believed to want to sell him this summer for a fee of between 45 million and 50 million euros. Arsenal and Chelsea certainly have the financial power to pay a premium.

Ramon will be excited about the possibility of playing in the Premier League. It would be a step up in his career. However, he should consider joining a club where he can play regularly.

Joining Arsenal may not be ideal for him. They have immense depth in defence, and the 21-year-old Spanish defender could struggle to earn regular minutes. At Chelsea, he could be one of the first names on the sheet. They need to tighten up at the back as they have been very vulnerable this season. A defender would be ideal for them.

It remains to be seen how the situation will develop. The player has the qualities to excel in the Premier League and with the right guidance, he could develop into a top-class defender. He wants to sort out his long-term future quickly and focus on his football.

The chance to return to his boyhood club Real Madrid could be appealing to him, and the Spanish giants have a clear advantage in this race.
