According to a report from Sky Sports, Manchester United have held productive discussions with Ederson’s representatives in recent weeks.

The club are planning a major overhaul of their midfield this summer, with Ederson emerging as a key target to provide the energy the club lacked in the first half of the season.

According to the newspaper, Ederson’s inner circle has given the ‘green light’ for a move to Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old has attracted significant interest from Serie A’s top clubs, but his personal priority remains a move to the Premier League.

The Brazilian is said to be ‘dreaming’ of a move to England and sees Manchester United as the ideal platform to showcase his talents on the world stage.

Despite the player’s clear preference, the competition for his signature remains competitive.

There is stiff competition and several European clubs are also keen to sign him.

Atlético Madrid are keenly interested and the Spanish club have also agreed personal terms with the player, according to an update from Fabrizio Romano last month.

As well as Atletico, interest from within Serie A, Juventus and Inter Milan are also said to be monitoring his situation.

Manchester United also face competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

However, United’s proactive approach and the player’s desire to test himself in the Premier League give the Red Devils a clear advantage at the moment.
