What did Rafael Leo say?
Speaking about his future in a conversation with Sports TV, he said: “I think Milan did everything they could. It was a club that helped me grow a lot, and a club that supported me through difficult times. I’m happy to be able to leave my name in the club’s history.

“Everyone has dreams, challenges, things they want, goals they want to achieve, and I would like to take on a new challenge in a new league.”
He also hinted that he preferred Manchester United, telling Cernucci: “I watch the Premier League a lot. I like Manchester United, but Especially because Cristiano Ronaldo is my idol, but Arsenal are also the team I watch on TV. ”
United add coveted Leo to summer shortlist
Even before his admission, United were one of Leo’s suitors.
Reports in recent weeks have suggested he could be on the move from Milan this summer, so the fact that he has gone so far as to publicly state his desire to leave means a deal should be easier to reach.
Because the team of the Italian giants knows that Leo is already planning a new venture, so they feel obliged to fulfill his wish.
Meanwhile, United are carrying out due diligence on the market to give Michael Carrick enough depth to prepare for their return to the Champions League next season.
Attack is not as high of a priority as midfield, but the recent sale of Rasmus Hjøjlund and the impending departures of Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho mean United will need to bring in new members if they are to have any real chance of competing in 2026/2027.
At just 26 years old, Leo has extensive experience across Europe and is said to be keen to break into the English top flight.
