There is a big move surrounding Thuram and he could be sacrificed by the Italian giants.

Turkish side Galatasaray have recently inquired about his possible signing, with a move to the Premier League attracting a lot of attention. Liverpool and Manchester United are monitoring the situation closely.

Kefren Thuram Liverpool could suffer losses of 45-50 million euros

According to a report in Tutto Juve, the French midfielder wants to remain in Turin, but given Juventus’ financial situation, he is open to serious bids.

No official price has been set, but initial negotiations are expected to start at around 45 million to 50 million euros.

Liverpool will face stiff competition from arch-rivals Manchester United. The Red Devils have already completed the signing of Atalanta’s Ederson and are looking to secure another dynamic midfielder.

United have reportedly identified Newcastle’s Elliott Anderson as a priority target, alongside West Ham’s Matheus Fernandes, but see Thuram as an elite alternative. This could spark a bidding war that will test the Bianconeri’s resolve.

Will Thuram be an upgrade over Jones?

Losing a raw talent like Curtis Jones is always a tough pill to swallow for Anfield fans, but signing Thuram would bring a completely different dynamic to the modern tactical set-up.

Known for his imposing physique, resistance to pressing and excellent ball-carrying ability, the 25-year-old Frenchman excels at line-breaking and advancing the ball from deep positions.

Compared to Jones, who primarily functions as an advanced forward passing and possession holding player, Thuram offers much better defensive coverage and a much higher ceiling in transition.

His tactical flexibility allows him to shift between a deep No. 6 and an authoritative box-to-box No. 8.

For between €45 million and €50 million, his defensive ability and engine could be a significant upgrade ahead of a tough Premier League campaign.
