Arsenal and Liverpool could be presented with significant transfer opportunities this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly willing to let Bradley Barcora leave if a suitable deal is secured.
According to L’Equipe, the 23-year-old France international is no longer untouchable at PSG.
This is a big change considering his contract runs until 2028 and he is regarded as one of the most exciting young wide players in Europe.
The situation changed due to competition for space. Barcola is the strongest on the left, but it has become almost impossible to leave out Hviča Kvaratscheria in important matches.
Luis Enrique has no shortage of attacking options, as PSG just retained their Champions League title by defeating Arsenal on penalties.
Arsenal could have a golden opportunity on the market
From Arsenal’s point of view, this is a truly remarkable situation.
Mikel Arteta’s side need depth, particularly in their out-wide attacks, and Barcola will bring pace, direct running and one-on-one quality.
The Gunners already have Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, but adding another explosive winger would give Arteta more flexibility over the long season.
After coming so close in Europe, Arsenal may feel they need another elite wide option to turn narrow margins into trophies.
Liverpool’s interest in French player still alive
Liverpool are also long-term fans, but their transfer priorities may depend on other targets.
The Reds are still trying to understand the terms of a potential deal, especially if signing another winger becomes difficult.
The key issue will be price. PSG don’t need to sell cheaply, and given Barcola’s age, contract length and reputation, any deal is likely to come at a high price.
Still, this is something to watch closely. If PSG does indeed open the door, both Arsenal and Liverpool have strong reasons to act quickly.
