I was recently informed of Besiktas’ interest in Trossard, but with other interested clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Juventus cooling their interest, it now appears that this deal is going ahead.
Trossard’s priority appears to be Besiktas, and although a contract has not yet been fully agreed, negotiations are moving forward with positive talks between the player’s representatives and the Turkish club.
Leandro Trossard joins Besiktas for 20 million euros
There are reports that Besiktas are preparing to offer Arsenal €20 million for Trossard, and I understand that amount to be accurate.

It’s still not entirely clear how that deal will be structured, and a significant portion of it is likely to come as add-ons or bonuses.
But even though many fans would ideally like to see Trossard stay at the Emirates Stadium for a little longer, Arsenal certainly think it’s good business for an aging player who is in the final year of his contract.
Trossard is not pushing to leave Arsenal after gaining good experience at the north London club, including winning the Premier League in 2025-26 and reaching the Champions League final.
However, after spending heavily last year, the 31-year-old makes sense as a money maker, with a sale in the AFC always likely this summer and Mikel Arteta potentially making changes to his front three.
The future of other first-team players such as Ben White, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Christian Norgaard is also somewhat in doubt, while loan players such as Reiss Nelson and Fabio Vieira are also available.
