Everton embroiled in three-way transfer battle to sign Chelsea’s teenage attacker Sol Gordon.

Sol Gordon’s impressive performances at youth level have attracted significant interest from Premier League clubs. Chelsea may struggle to keep hold of the teenager as contract renewal talks are not progressing as planned.

According to a report from Football Insider, Everton, Bournemouth and Newcastle are all interested in signing Gordon. All three clubs will be monitoring his situation closely and will be looking to jump at any opportunity to lure him away from Stamford Bridge.

Sol Gordon could leave Chelsea this summer

The 18-year-old right-winger is yet to make his first-team debut but has been impressive at youth level for Chelsea. he enjoyed a great campaign for the Blues Last season, he helped the U-18 team win the title. He had 11 goals and six assists in 28 games and also made several appearances for the Under-21s.

Gordon is highly regarded by those at Stamford Bridge and they want to ensure he remains at the club. However, with 12 months until his contract expires and negotiations to renew his contract have stalled, it is likely that he will be transferred this summer.

Everton, Bournemouth and Newcastle are all waiting for the perfect opportunity to sign the teenager. They believe the versatile forward is a great long-term option and are hoping to add him to their squad this summer.

He may never have played a first-team game for Chelsea, but this trio could offer a shorter route to the first team to lure him. However, the Blues could agree new terms with him in the coming weeks.
