Matheus Fernandes has been linked with a move from West Ham United all summer.
The 21-year-old is expected to move to a bigger club following the London club’s relegation. The player does not want to play in the second division next season and Liverpool are prepared to offer him an exit route.

Where will Matheus Fernandes end up?
The player has also been linked with clubs such as Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. However, Football Insider reports that Liverpool are now making it a priority to sign a central midfielder who will add energy and athleticism in the middle of the park. They are already in contact with West Ham with a view to signing the player.
The 21-year-old midfielder is valued at £85m and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool are willing to shell out big bucks for him. It would be a very expensive acquisition. They need to improve multiple areas of their squad and spending £85m on Fernandes seems highly unlikely.
West Ham United would need to make reasonable demands to make the move happen.
The same goes for Manchester United and Tottenham. They need a quality central midfielder and the Portugal international would be the ideal addition. However, this request could complicate matters for both clubs.

He has the technical qualities to play for the biggest clubs in the country and could be an asset to Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham.
