  • Rumor has it that his reputation is growing.

Tottenham Hotspur have been given clarity on the Lukas Bergvall situation after Christian Falk firmly denied suggestions that Bayern Munich were keeping an eye on the Swedish midfielder.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move from Spurs this summer, with reports saying he wants more regular football after a frustrating season.

This led to speculation that Bayern would be involved, but Falk has confirmed that the German champions are not currently pursuing the player.

Falk said in his latest update that the Bayern rumors are “not true”, adding that he has received clear signals from the club that they are not interested in the Sweden international at this stage.

He added that while Bergvall is an interesting player, he is not one that Bayern are currently chasing.

Tottenham still have to make a decision

This denial does not completely put an end to widespread transfer talk.

Bergvall’s future remains uncertain, with the Evening Standard reporting that despite previous interest, Chelsea are not currently planning a move.

The Sun also reported that the midfielder has asked to leave Spurs due to limited game time.

Tottenham are thought to rate him highly and would not want to lose a player with such long-term potential so easily.

The club are reportedly hoping for around £45 million if they decide to sell him.

Rumor has it that his reputation is growing.

From Tottenham’s point of view, Bayern’s refusal is beneficial.

This removes one key European name and gives Spurs more control over the situation.

However, the interest and speculation about Bergvall still shows how highly regarded he is.

He is young, technically gifted and able to play in several midfield roles, making him attractive to clubs looking to move up in the future.

According to Falk, Bayern are not interested. However, Tottenham still need to decide whether Bergvall can play a suitable role under manager Roberto De Zerbi, or whether a summer exit is the best solution for everyone.

Tottenham are in talks to sign yet another experienced Premier League player on a free transfer.
