Chelsea aim to strengthen their attacking line with the signing of Eli Junior Crupi from Bournemouth.

According to Simon Phillips, Chelsea have been in contact with the player about signing him, but have not yet made a formal offer. Crupi has also been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Eli Junior Crupi was a revelation

The 20-year-old had an excellent performance for the Cherries last season, scoring 13 goals in the league. He is a young player with great potential and will only develop with coaching and experience. He could be a great long-term investment for Chelsea. He has been hailed as a “generational” talent.

However, it is highly unlikely that Bournemouth will allow him to leave this summer. He is indispensable to them. They confirmed the departure of Antoine Semenyo in January and do not want to further weaken their attacking line.

The 20-year-old French attacker has all the makings to develop into a future star, so it’s no wonder Chelsea are keen on him. If they can strike a deal, it will be a major coup for them.

Manchester United also continue to monitor Crupi.

Chelsea need a player like Crupi

Liam Delap was underwhelming last season, so a replacement is needed. Chelsea were overly reliant on Joao Pedro in attack. Signing a French attacker could help share the scoring burden.

The opportunity to play for Chelsea could be exciting for the youngster. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop. Even if the Cherries were willing to let the player go, they would still demand a significant amount for him. Chelsea may need to break transfer records to get a deal done.

Chelsea missed out on qualifying for next season’s Champions League, but will be looking to bounce back strongly. Signing a volatile talent like Crupi could be a game-changer for them.
