Liverpool and Manchester United have expressed interest in signing Germany midfielder Felix Nmeka.
The 25-year-old performed well for the German national team at the World Cup and was also very impressive for Borussia Dortmund.
Felix Nmecha costs a premium
The German club have no interest in losing him so easily and will likely demand a transfer fee of at least 100 million euros (approximately 8.6 billion yen) if they make an offer this summer.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United or Liverpool decide to pay him such a sum. They need more quality in central midfield and the German international would be a great signing. He has presence, control and poise. He will create chances for his teammates and also contribute defensively.
According to a report from SportWitness, Dortmund will treat his departure in the same way as Jude Bellingham. They won’t let him quit unless there’s a premium offer on the table.
Liverpool and Manchester United could use Nmecha
Liverpool and Manchester United need to improve in the middle of the park but will not want to overpay their players. They need to improve in multiple areas of their scoring this summer. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
Nmeka may be tempted by the idea of a move to the Premier League. It would be a step up in his career. Liverpool and Manchester United offer Champions League football and they could offer him a platform to fight for the trophy next season. He will definitely want to decide on his future soon and focus on his football.
Although he is a quality player with a promising future, the asking price is simply prohibitive and no club is likely to pay for him.
