Chelsea midfielder Andrei Santos is reportedly available this summer, with Manchester United previously linked with a move for the Brazilian youngster.

The Blues appear ready to make some changes to their midfield this summer, with the possibility of a new contract and Santos being available.

This is according to BBC Sport, who claim that Chelsea remain interested in Granit Xhaka, as well as Valentin Barco, who is set to join from Strasbourg.

This could free Santos to leave, with Chelsea said to be open to a sale, with several clubs reportedly interested in the 22-year-old.

Should Chelsea sign Andrej Santos?

Chelsea have invested heavily in talented young players in recent years, and the current ownership appears to prefer finding cheap prospects that they can later sell for a profit.

Santos could definitely be a player who would pay more than Chelsea paid him, and Man United clearly value the player.

Santos has not lived up to expectations so far at Stamford Bridge, but now seems like a good time to sell him and make some money, as it’s hard to imagine him suddenly cementing himself as a starter in Xabi Alonso’s side.

Andrei Santos could be the midfield player United need

Manchester United are known to be on the hunt for a new midfielder this summer, and Santos could be an interesting opportunity for them.

The BBC reports that the Red Devils have already reached an agreement to sign Ederson from Atalanta, but with Casemiro leaving and Manuel Ugarte struggling, there may be room for another signing.

Another name to keep an eye on could be Brighton’s Carlos Baleva, according to Give Me Sport, but Santos’ ceiling could possibly be even higher, and it looks like he’s likely to be available.
