Ezri Konsa is gradually gaining the recognition he deserves, which has led to some interesting transfer links.

If you asked England fans a year ago who their starting central defender would be at this World Cup, I doubt many would say Ezri Konsa.
Still, he became the man of choice for manager Thomas Tuchel, and while Konsa remained in place, the players who were actually replaced were John Stones and Marc Göch.
It’s proof that the Aston Villa man is potentially undervalued – his very solid career has certainly overshadowed some of his colleagues. But that could soon change with a move to the mentioned title contender.
Arsenal appoint Konsa as cover player for Saliba
The Daily Telegraph reported today that Arsenal could make a move for the 28-year-old.
With the Gunners already well-stocked in defence, these rumors have sparked whispers that top man William Saliba may need surgery for a back problem after the World Cup.
That would mean he would be out for a few months and signing an experienced Premier League player like Konsa would be a very smart move.
Manager Matt Law has only described this as an “interim” interest, perhaps in part because rising Villa demand a huge transfer fee for their key player, who is also currently a starter in England.
In other news…
Ayoub Bouadi is a top target for many teams this summer and Lille could make some demands.
Bayern Munich were undeterred by Germany’s disappointing World Cup performance. They are squarely focused on signing a premium defender.
