  • Chelsea open door to permanent summer departure
  • The Napoli link makes sense for Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho’s future is uncertain just a year after his move from Manchester United, with Chelsea potentially facing another important squad decision this summer.

The winger arrived with a great reputation and plenty of excitement, but his first season at Stamford Bridge didn’t quite make the impact many had hoped.

For Chelsea, this is not just about one player. It’s also about team balance, financial planning and deciding which attackers truly fit into the club’s long-term direction.

If a strong offer arrives, the Blues may feel now is the right time to move on, rather than waiting and risking his value dropping further.

Chelsea open door to permanent summer departure

According to TEAMtalk, Napoli are one of several European clubs to be monitoring Garnacho’s situation closely, but the player could also consider Saudi Arabia if the right sporting and financial package is offered.

The paper adds that Chelsea are willing to listen to offers but have no interest in letting him go on loan.

That stance is important. Chelsea don’t seem to want another temporary solution.

They hope to keep the player or secure a permanent sale to help rebuild the team.

GOAL also reported that Chelsea are willing to release the winger, who is struggling to become a starter due to Garnacho’s poor debut season, on a permanent transfer.

The Napoli link makes sense for Garnacho

Naples would be an interesting destination. The Italian champions have already given new life to former Man United players, and Garnacho could join a familiar group once the move gets underway.

Players like Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hjølund are currently at Napoli and have progressed in their careers after leaving the Premier League, potentially drawing Garnacho to Serie A.

Chelsea should only sell Garnacho if the offer is strong. He’s still young, outspoken and talented, so giving up too soon could backfire.

However, if he is not a central part of the manager’s plans, it makes more sense to let him go permanently rather than spend a wasted season on the bench.

A loan would only delay a decision, but a huge transfer fee could help Chelsea reinvest in a player who is a good fit for their attacking system.
