Arsenal reportedly admire former player Konstantinos Mavropanos and could be linked with signing the West Ham United defender this summer.

The Greek centre-back makes sense as a possible move for West Ham after they are relegated from the Premier League to the Championship in 2025-26.

Mavropanos has always been a solid performer for West Ham, so it wouldn’t be too surprising to hear that Premier League clubs are interested in him this summer.

Read below for the latest updates on the 28-year-old’s future from Sky Sports’ Christopher Reddy…

“Dinos Mavropanos has attracted interest from Premier League teams and clubs across Europe. Arsenal respect and are interested in former player Mavropanos, but RCB currently have enough players in Saliba, Mosquera and White,” the reporter wrote in X.

Arsenal fans won’t be too excited about Mavropanos and Meslier transfers

Arsenal fans probably won’t be too excited about this transfer news. The club has already confirmed an overwhelming deal to acquire Ilan Meslier on a free transfer.

Substitute players like Mavropanos and Meslier aren’t players Arsenal actually need at the moment, and it looks like one or two signings will be enough to take the reigning Premier League champions to the next level.

We’ve already seen Tottenham spend big so far this summer, and one imagines other big teams are also lining up some ambitious signings.

If Arsenal don’t get their act together soon, they risk falling behind and missing out on a good opportunity to retain the title.
