The World Cup always features a few new stars who make a big splash after the tournament, but this summer’s breakout name is undoubtedly Mexico’s Julian Quiñones.
The naturalized Colombian dominated the tournament from the start, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the five games he played, and has now been linked with a Premier League team.
Able to play up front or on the wing, he has speed, power and an eye for goal.
Aston Villa want Quinones to strengthen their attack power
Team Talk claim Quinones is wanted by Aston Villa, who are looking to return to the Champions League and add depth and quality to their attack.
Two small issues are his age – he is 29 years old and the fact that he is already making a lot of money in the Saudi league. For both of these reasons, it could be a potentially difficult deal for Villa to pull off in PSR terms as they aim to stay within UEFA limits.
His transfer fee is currently valued at just 14 million euros in the transfer market, but given the events of recent weeks, the real transfer fee is expected to be significantly more than 20 million euros.
