According to Christian Falk, Michael Olysse’s situation could soon become very interesting if he does not agree to a new contract with Bayern Munich.
Contributing to the latest edition of his exclusive CF Bayern Insider column, Falk explained why he felt Olise would be a player to watch next summer despite the fact that he is likely to remain at Bayern for now.

The France international has been world-class during his time at the Allianz Arena, winning two titles in his two years at the club and finishing the 2025-26 season with an impressive 20 goals and 25 assists in the Bundesliga and Champions League.

Falk doesn’t seem convinced that will happen, but made clear it could be a match to watch if the contract situation at Allianz Arena isn’t resolved soon.
“There is no chance this summer. It will be very interesting what happens with Olise next summer, whether he signs a new contract or not. If he doesn’t, Bayern will have to do something. Maybe they will have to sell him,” Falk explained.

“But this summer, Michael Olise will remain at Bayern Munich. This season he has been really, really good, so maybe that was to his advantage, but at the World Cup he only had a so-so tournament.
“In the semi-final against Spain he could have proven himself among the elite of football, but since he didn’t show that, perhaps things have calmed down somewhat. Perhaps the winger now knows that he still has a lot to learn before reaching the absolute peak of his powers.”
“Obviously, the rumors have subsided and it would be easy for FC Bayern to keep Olise unless he is world champion.”
Olise’s dream was to sign with Real Madrid.
