Arsenal are currently stuck in the transfer window and are aiming to sign Newcastle center man Bruno Guimarães as soon as possible.
The midfielder has informed the Magpies that he wants to leave and now he just has to hope the Gunners make a bid big enough to seal a deal. Former Premier League scout Keith Wyness has a strong opinion on the possibility of future transfers.
Newcastle midfielder sees the writing on the wall
“Bruno is probably the heart of Newcastle and the fans will probably agree with me. He will always be the heart and soul of the club,” Wyness told Football Insider.
“Is there a middle ground here at £90m? Will Arsenal go up? Will Newcastle go down? And I think the player in this case has all the cards.”
“If he decides he wants to go to London and play for Arsenal, which I’ve heard he does, then I think Arsenal might get a deal so sweet that Newcastle would have to accept it.
“I think it’s close enough that we can somehow make it happen and structure it. And I think Newcastle can see the writing on the wall. It’s going to be difficult for them. But I expect Bruno to push through.”
