The 19-year-old joined the Gunners from Stoke City last year and has only made one first-team appearance for Mikel Arteta’s side, coming on as a substitute against Mansfield Town in the FA Cup.
Dixon can play as both a centre-back and a right-back, so he could be a useful option for a West Ham side who have a difficult season ahead of them as they aim to gain promotion to the Premier League after being relegated to the Championship in May.
Will Arsenal and West Ham start a deal this summer?
Arsenal will send Dixon on loan to West Ham so he can gain more experience and get a taste of first-team football, which is perhaps now unlikely, at the Emirates Stadium.
The Hammers could probably give him a more prominent role and help him develop, which could also help seal another potential deal.

Arsenal are interested in Konstantinos Mavropanos as they look for added depth in their defense, with the Greek centre-back thought to be a player likely to consider a move away from the London Stadium this summer.
If WHUFC are interested in Dixon, Arsenal could use him as part of negotiations for Mavropanos, which could very well be advantageous if Arsenal decide to go ahead with the move.
Still, it remains to be seen whether AFC decide to make Mavropanos a priority after William Saliba’s worrying injury at the 2026 World Cup, or look elsewhere for cover at the back.
