Real Madrid attacker Rodrigo Goes has linked his move away from the club during the summer transfer.
The 24-year-old has struggled with regular game times since Xabi Alonso arrived, and he doesn’t seem to be an important option for a Spanish manager. Ideally he should move on and join the club and get regular opportunities.
Former Premier League scout Mick Brown revealed that Arsenal is interested in the player and that he could make a move for him in the coming weeks. Rodrigo is also linked to Liverpool.
It’s no secret that Arsenal needs more depth with their offensive units. The Brazilians could be the ideal acquisition. The 24-year-old will help create opportunities for teammates and find the backstage of the net as well. He can operate as a forward centre as well as a wide player. His versatility would be a huge bonus for Arsenal if they can get the deal done.
Rodrigo could cost him a lot this summer.
Keep Rodrigo’s Monitoring tab
Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider:
“It was clear at the Club World Cup that he came out of the bench for most of those games, so he wasn’t in their starting XI plan.
“If Arsenal feels they can offer him normal football, it is a move he might be tempted to make.
“Many people may depend on what they want from him, as Real Madrid could be a big buck.”
Arsenal needs another attacker
Gabriel Jesus and Kai Herberts were unable to score goals consistently, and Gabriel Martinelli was extremely overwhelming last season.
If you want to fight for a major trophy next year, you will need more depth and cutting edge in the final third. Rodrigo has consistently won major trophies and has proven to be an ideal addition to Arsenal’s dressing room.
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can negotiate a reasonable deal with Real Madrid.
