  • Rodrigo is not Bayern Munich’s top target
  • Liverpool and the Premier League transfer path will be cleared

Bayern Munich is currently unlikely to be Rodrigo’s concrete suitor this summer.

The Bayern giants and Liverpool are closely linked to Brazilian international.

Real Madrid is reportedly being prepared to allow multi-purpose attackers to depart the Bernabeu in their current windows.

Christian Faulk now reports that Bayern Munich is increasingly confident that he will sign Liverpool’s Louis Diaz.

But as the head of football at Bild Group correctly pointed out, the Bayerns were similarly convinced they would beat the Merseysiders to Florian Wirtz’s signature.

This sudden twist in transfer story may still be on the cards. In that case, Max Eval and Bayern’s recruitment teams may need to focus elsewhere.

One name that ensures they appease the club’s fanbase is the name of the creepy Real Madrid winger Rodrigo.

“Max Ebal is under pressure to run on the transfer window. The bosses have since come together to discuss whether the window is good for FC Bayern.” Bayern insiders have only notified CatedOffside.

“So, while Bayern is really sure they’ll sign up for Lewis Diaz, they were also really sure they’d get Florian Wiltz. So another disappointment on this scale for the top target is the earthquake, which will really put Ebel’s pressure on.

“If they don’t sign Diaz, they’ll need a really big name to bring the media and supporters back to the side and praise the efforts in the window. At that point, a name like Rodrigo would be useful. But at this point, he’s not yet the target of Bayern Munich’s list.”

Liverpool and the Premier League transfer path will be cleared

In the meantime, and assuming everything goes to plan in FC Bayern’s Diaz pursuit, Rodrigo is facing an uncertain future.

On all accounts, the Brazilian wants to stay in the Spanish capital and make the most of his long-term contract (expired in 2028).

It is also worth taking into account the still fresh reality that Xabi Alonso has arrived at the club. Of course, he couldn’t escape the player’s notification (Liverpool) that he was underutilized in the FIFA Club’s World Cup.

It may be early on, but Alonso has yet to show his willingness to play forward in his preferred left field position.

All of this suggests that it is more and more likely that Rodrigo is seeking new meadows. Perhaps if Louis Diaz, along with Liverpool, exited this summer.
