The 2025-26 NBA season is more than two months away, but fans already know which teams will be featured on national TV during two highly anticipated events. Here is the schedule for both the opening night and Christmas Day games.

Opening Night – October 21st

  • Houston Rockets at Oklahoma City Thunder
  • Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors

Christmas Day – December 25th

  • Cleveland Cavaliers at New York Knicks
  • San Antonio Spurs at Oklahoma City Thunder
  • Los Angeles Lakers vs. Houston Rockets
  • Dallas Mavericks at Golden State Warriors
  • Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

On opening night, Kevin Durant will make a return to Oklahoma City with his new team while witnessing his former team raise the NBA Championship banner. The night will also feature a star-studded Western Conference showdown between Stephen Curry and LeBron James. Christmas Day will include a rematch of the 2024 Western Conference Finals with the Timberwolves hosting the Nuggets. The Mavericks will visit San Francisco to face the Warriors, while the only Eastern Conference matchup will see the Cavaliers travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the Knicks.
