Newcastle United are looking to improve their recruitment department ahead of the January transfer window.

The Chronicle reports that the club are looking to bring in a new executive assistant to work alongside Ross Wilson, who has been appointed sporting director. The executive assistant will work with Wilson to improve the club’s recruitment department.

Newcastle is working to improve recruitment

Newcastle have successfully strengthened their recruitment department in recent months and will continue to do so. To compete with elite clubs, we need to sign quality players. They have ambitious projects and sufficient resources. By putting the right people behind the scenes, you can make the most of your resources.

Last season they did well, winning trophies and also qualifying for the Champions League. If they really want to compete for big trophies, they need to add more quality and depth across the squad. It will be interesting to see if they can prepare their transfer department for the summer transfer window.

PIF approved the move

They sold Alexander Isak for a record fee in English transfer history in the summer transfer window, and they have a considerable amount of money to spend in the upcoming transfer window. With the right personnel in place, you can acquire top-level players and make the most of your resources. It remains to be seen who they will ultimately appoint.

They have already received approval from the head of PIF and are currently advertising the position ahead of the January slot. Newcastle knows they need to build a world-class recruitment operation if they are to compete with the best clubs in the Premier League.
