Reports indicate that turf racing may make a comeback at Parx Racing in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, in 2026, according to Thoroughbred Daily News. The installation of a new grass track is planned to start in March.
Joe Wilson, the chief operating officer of Parx, informed the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission on November 25 that he aims to restart turf racing once Parx resumes after its midseason break in 2026.
The commission has approved 150 race dates for Parx. In 2025, Parx took a break from July 25 to August 17, though the 2026 schedule has not been finalized yet.
Turf racing at Parx was halted from August 2024 due to several issues with the course. Visual evidence shared with The Paulick Report at that time showed large holes approximately six inches deep and an uneven surface.
