Manchester United have increased their interest in young Greek midfielder Christos Moussatis, sending scouts to keep an eye on the 19-year-old during the club’s 4-3 draw with Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on November 26.

According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid are also interested in signing the young midfielder, along with Man United.

Born on 25 December 2006 in Athens, Mousakitis came through the youth ranks of Olympiakos and joined the academy at a young age. He made steady progress at youth level and broke into the first team last season.

Despite his age, he has already earned a senior cap for the Greek national team, clearly showing how highly regarded he is in the country.

On the club front, Mouzatis has gradually become a regular at Olympiakos, making over 50 appearances for the first team and earning praise for his composure and ability to drive play from midfield.

Despite still being a teenager, he has already shown maturity in his tactical judgment and adaptability to the overall midfield role. His performances in both domestic leagues and continental competitions have garnered international praise.

But Man United won’t be able to monopolize the field. Interest in Muzakitis is widespread throughout Europe.
Real Madrid are reportedly considering a bid of around £25 million for the midfielder.

Meanwhile, other European clubs, including teams from Italy, Spain and Germany, are tracking him closely, attracted by his potential and relatively modest market value.

If Manchester United decide to proceed, the most likely time for a transfer would be in the summer of 2026. That will give Man United time to build around him, integrate him carefully and avoid a price hike.

The decision will be important for Mousakitis. A move to a club like United would provide a platform for top-level players to develop and compete regularly at the highest level.
